Apple Watch
NeuralRepo works on Apple Watch through Siri Shortcuts. There is no separate watch app to install — the same shortcuts you set up on your iPhone run natively on your wrist.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”Apple Watch runs Siri Shortcuts directly on the device starting with watchOS 9. When you trigger a NeuralRepo shortcut, the watch makes the API call itself (or routes through your paired iPhone if needed).
The experience is simple:
- Raise your wrist or press the Digital Crown.
- Say “Hey Siri, NeuralRepo”.
- Dictate your idea.
- Siri confirms the idea was saved.
The idea appears in your NeuralRepo dashboard within seconds, tagged with a captured status and ready for you to expand on later.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”| Requirement | Minimum |
|---|---|
| watchOS | 9.0 or later |
| iPhone | Paired iPhone with Siri Shortcuts configured |
| NeuralRepo plan | Any plan (Free or Pro) |
| API key | Required — set up via Settings > API Keys |
-
Install shortcuts on your iPhone. Follow the full Siri Shortcuts setup guide to install the Quick Capture, Share Sheet, and Clipboard shortcuts.
-
Verify sync to watch. Open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to Siri, and confirm the NeuralRepo shortcuts are listed.
-
Test from your wrist. Raise your wrist and say “Hey Siri, NeuralRepo” to test the Quick Capture shortcut.
What You Can Capture
Section titled “What You Can Capture”From your watch, the Quick Capture shortcut is the primary tool. It captures a single dictated idea with:
- Title — your spoken words, transcribed by Siri
- Status —
captured(default) - Source — tagged as
sirifor easy filtering later
The Share Sheet and Clipboard shortcuts are available on the watch but are most useful on iPhone and iPad where you have richer content to share.
Tips for Watch Capture
Section titled “Tips for Watch Capture”- Keep ideas short. The watch is best for capturing a quick title or seed thought. Expand the idea later from the web app or CLI.
- Speak clearly. Background noise affects dictation accuracy. A brief pause before speaking helps Siri detect the start of your idea.
- Batch capture. If multiple ideas hit at once, run the shortcut repeatedly. Each call creates a separate idea.
- Review later. After a capture session, open the NeuralRepo dashboard and filter by
capturedstatus to review and flesh out your watch-captured ideas.
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”- No browsing. You cannot search or view existing ideas from the watch. Use the web app, CLI, or Claude for that.
- Dictation only. There is no keyboard input on the watch for these shortcuts. If Siri mishears you, re-run the shortcut.
- Network required. The watch must have connectivity (Wi-Fi or cellular) to reach the NeuralRepo API.
